PROJECTS
Hanging baskets
The Town Team organise the colourful hanging baskets for the High Street each summer. We have 60 hanging baskets which brighten up the town for the community and are normally hung up during June.
As always the baskets are available to sponsor by anyone who would like to. Whether you are a business or an individual we can place your special message on the plaque accompanying your basket and you can enjoy it all Summer.
It's easy to place your order, just complete the form below online or print the PDF and post it to our Treasurer.

Thank you in advance for helping us make this annual project such a success. We hope you all enjoy the baskets when they arrive.

Adopt a Plot

A few years ago the Town Team started to notice that what was once, lovely floral beds and pocket parks throughout the town, had slowly become, disused, unwanted and un-planted eyesores. Accepting the fact that current council budgets have resulted in cuts to many services, some critical community services we were faced with there being no room for little flower beds to be cared for by council funds, we introduced the "Adopt a Plot Scheme".
Simply various groups, organisations or individuals could "Adopt" some of these little unloved bits and care for them and plant them up again.
We are delighted to say that some of our identified "plots" are currently adopted and once again our town looks loved and cared for. If you are interested in helping with the adopt a plot scheme e-mail us at adoptaplot@fortwilliamtownteam.co.uk
Water Bowser & Self Watering Hanging Baskets

With thanks to Foundation Scotland we were able to purchase 60 new self watering hanging baskets as well as a fantastic water bowser that enables us to water the hanging baskets and planters throughout the town regularly.
Solar Panels
We were delighted to be successful with our funding application to the Community Regneration Fund to install solar panels on the Community Hub. This enables us to charge the water bowser, provide lighting and boiling the kettle for that all important cuppa at the end of a Tidy Day!
Queens Canopy

We were very honoured to be presented with a lovely native rowan tree from the Lord Lieutenant as part of the Queen's Green Canopy to commemorate her Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
Sundial Plot

This project to tidy up the lovely Sundial Plot and make it easier to manage was spearheaded by one of our dedicated volunteers - it's made a huge improvement to The Parade!
The Big Spring Clean
Each year we tackle our annual Big Spring Clean. Our way of freshening up the high street for the year ahead. We litter pick, weed and scrub our way along the high street, the Parade and the underpass, and depending on volunteer support spread out from there.
Whether you have 30 mins or 3hrs come along and join us April each year making our town a cleaner place to be.
