Fort William Town Team SCIO
Our Community Hub in the Parade and some high-street planters, and plants and trees along the high street have been entirely funded by Tesco Bags of Help, a local community grant scheme using the 5p bag charge to fund community projects. The scheme is administered by Groundwork who is working with Greenspace Scotland to support successful projects in Scotland. For more info on how you can benefit from Tesco Bags of Help go to www.groundwork.org.uk/Sites/tescocommunityscheme
Thanks to the Community Regeneration Fund, our Community Hub is now solar powered to provide electricity to charge the water bowser, lights and the kettle for that all important after activity cuppa!

Our Community Hub is used as a base for the Town Team to carry out it's activities. It houses our Community Tool Share project and it is available for local non-profit groups to use for fund raising or promotional activities.

Adopt-a-Plot – Some of the small areas of ground around the High Street have been adopted by local people and groups. The adopters plant and maintain their plots throughout the year. Plants and compost are provided by the Fort William Town Team SCIO using monies raised from fund raising and donations.

Tool Share Project – We purchased a selection of tools with funds donated to us by the Zero Waste Project, a project run by Lochaber Environmental Group funded by Zero Waste Scotland. The tools are available for any local community group to borrow for their own gardening projects as well as for Town Team use.

Community Fund Raising – The Hub is available for local not-for profit groups to use for fund-raising events. If you would like to find out more please contact – info@fortwilliamtownteam.co.uk

Our notice board is also available to promote community events.
